These terms govern the sale of your device to AsQuoted. By submitting a device for a quote, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About us
AsQuoted operates asquoted.co.uk, buying used mobile phones from individuals in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at help@asquoted.co.uk.
2. Getting a quote
When you submit your device details, photos, and information, a specialist reviews your submission by hand and sends you a confirmed price — typically within 3 hours during business hours (9am–6pm, Monday to Saturday). The indicative "up to" figure shown when you select your model is a guide only and is not an offer. Only the confirmed price we email you constitutes an offer to buy.
3. Quote validity
A confirmed quote is valid for 72 hours from the time we send it. Quotes reflect current market conditions, which change frequently. If you do not accept within 72 hours, the quote expires and you are welcome to submit again for a fresh assessment.
4. Accepting a quote
When you accept, you confirm that:
- You are the legal owner of the device, or are authorised to sell it;
- The device is fully paid for and not subject to any finance agreement, contract, or other security;
- The device has not been reported lost or stolen;
- The information and media you provided are accurate and represent the device's true condition;
- You will remove any SIM card and sign out of and remove the device from any linked accounts (such as iCloud) before sending it.
5. Verification and adjusted offers
Because you verify your device's condition with us upfront, the price we confirm is the price we expect to pay. When your device arrives we carry out a check to confirm it matches what you submitted. In the rare event that the device does not match — for example undisclosed damage, a different model or storage size, functional faults not declared, or evidence of non-genuine parts — we will:
- Tell you clearly and specifically what does not match; and
- Offer you a revised price reflecting the device's actual condition; or
- Return the device to you at our cost if you prefer not to accept the revised price.
You are under no obligation to accept a revised offer.
6. Stolen or finance-locked devices
We check every device's IMEI against databases of lost and stolen devices. If a device is reported lost or stolen, or is found to be under an active finance agreement, we are unable to purchase it. We may be required to report the device and retain it in accordance with the law and may share relevant information with law enforcement. We cannot return a device confirmed to be stolen.
7. Shipping
If you accept, we send a Royal Mail box to your address at our cost. You are responsible for packing the device securely and posting it. We recommend obtaining proof of postage. Risk in the device passes to us once we have received and signed for it.
8. Payment
Once we receive your device and confirm it matches your submission, we pay you the agreed price by bank transfer, typically within 24 hours of completing our check. Bank details are collected securely at the payment stage. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect bank details supplied by you.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time before posting your device. If you have already posted it, you may request its return before we have processed payment, and we will return it to you at our cost provided it has not been found to be stolen or finance-locked.
10. Our right to decline
We may decline to purchase any device at our discretion, including where we cannot verify ownership, where information appears inaccurate, or where we suspect fraud.
11. Liability
We take care in handling your device but are not liable for data left on a device you have not wiped, or for loss or damage occurring before we receive it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you submit your device.
